Objective: Assess employees' attitudes to three specific aspects of work: general job satisfaction, social support from colleagues and managers, and the mental stress associated with work. Identify psychosocial risks, that allow employers to understand the specific areas where support is needed.

Response scales: The PAW comprises a 5-point agreement Likert scale, ranging from 1– 5, with 1 = “Completely Disagree”, and 5 = “Completely Agree”.
Domains / Concepts measured: A 15-item questionnaire for job satisfaction in 3 subscales.
Part 1: general job satisfaction;
Part 2: social support from colleagues/managers;
Part 3: mental stress of work.
All items are assessed on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (Completely Disagree) to 5 (Completely Agree).
Recall period: There is no specific timeframe that respondents are asked to consider when answering any of the statements.

Associated Instruments: The Back Beliefs Questionnaire (BBQ) is a Patient Reported Outcome Measure, that assesses individuals’ beliefs and attitudes about lower back trouble (LBT) and how these beliefs might influence their behaviour and coping strategies in the workplace. The BBQ, in conjunction with the PAW, has been utilised to comprehensively evaluate beliefs and attitudes in the assessment of work-related lower back trouble.
